Viva Las Vegas (w/ Pictures and fatty food!)

NOTE: This post in NO WAY promotes bad eating habits.  I’m just wanting to show that eating bad once will NOT affect all the progress you’ve made.  Just get back to eating healthy right after that meal.  I only had that entire bad meal as my worst meal ever and I haven’t changed physically.  The man that suffered the heart attack was because of years of unhealthy eating and bad habits.  Everyone should watch what they eat and try to stay healthy.  One bad meal isn’t a reason to give up. One bad meal isn’t the reason to think terrible of yourself.  There is a difference between a bad meal and a snack. I had a cupcake awhile ago as a snack.  But I watch out how the rest of my diet is and I take into account my macronutrients and calorie intake most of the time.  I workout and I stay healthy to the best of my abilities.  I’m no fitness model but I’m really healthy for where I am at with my life with what I have to do on a day to day basis. :)

So, Las Vegas was a blast!  It was great and a fantastic way to celebrate a 21st birthday. :)  It was just me and the mister but every second was incredible.

NOW, this is somewhat a fitness/health related post because just a week before this trip I had read this article about a man that had suffered a heart attack at the Heart Attack Grill.

Well, while in Vegas, we walked right by the Heart Attack Grill:

I had no idea it was in Vegas because I must have glanced over that part.  But yes, you’re reading that right, “Over 350 lbs eats free”.  This place does encourage obesity.  While waiting for my food in the ridiculous requirement of wearing hospital patient gowns:

There were three men that had walked in, stepped on the provided scale to prove that they were, in fact, over 350lbs. They were then wheeled out into the public streets in a wheel chair so the overly busty waitresses dressed as sexy nurses could scream that they had a winner.

I did eat there, for science, of course.  And my single half-pound patty burger with 5 strips of bacon arrived:

And I admit, it was a pretty tasty burger:

Not the best burger I’ve ever had but still really damn good.  And of course because it was good, it was just awful for me.

But, seeing as it was my birthday weekend, my boyfriend and I also split one of their shakes which:

I would not doubt had the highest fat content.

Here is another reason why:

They serve it with a freakin’ piece of butter! What is this ridiculousness?!

Their 4 patty burger is over 8,000 calories!  My love and I summed it up, we had digested around 3000+ calories in that one meal, each.  (We split the shake).

I won’t lie, I enjoyed every bit of it and this was the worst I had ever been food wise in such a long time!

There menu:

Their fries were, in fact, deep fried in pure lard.  I did not get the fries, thank god.

And this is what I looked like later that night before I went drinking:

OHMAN, I’M HUGE. WATCH OUT.

It was a great trip and a fun experience. We walked everywhere, a good three hours of walking both days, so I think I’m good overall. I’m back to eating healthy but I won’t be working out til tomorrow because my period took some serious tolls on me with cramps, they just came out of nowhere.  I’m convinced my body is getting back at me for the food.  But that’s okay, I still have definition, my abs are still at their definition state. Tomorrow I shall see if I can still do my body weight in squats, which I should since it has been a week since I worked out last.

Whew, that was a lot to write! :D  Hope you enjoyed reading this ridiculous tale of the Heart Attack Grill, since I wrote more about that than my trip to Vegas.
